Hasty served in the U.S. Army from 2005 to 2009, including a 14-month deployment to Iraq in 2007. He later earned an MBA in Finance and Supply Chain Management from Capella University. He built a career as a REALTOR, substitute teacher, and small business owner in the Springfield area. Raised for part of his childhood in the foster care system in Missouri and Illinois, Hasty brings a personal commitment to strengthening the state’s foster care and adoption system. He and his wife are raising their six children in Springfield.
